Synopsis
It is the year 1997. Chen Youxi, a girl, runs away from an orphanage to search for her friend Xiaoxiu.
In Tanling province A young woman, Xiaoyan, is assaulted. Later, Wenzhou is found with a head injury. Xiaoyans parents want to sue Wenzhou. The police investigate and find witnesses claim they saw Li Wenzhou on top of her. The police officer finds out they were lying to beat him up and release Li Wenzhuo due to lack of evidence. There is still a culprit on the loose.
Chen Youxi is on the move and tries to hire a cab to get to the Tanling fertilizer factory. An arrogant guy (Cheng Wei) takes the cab from her and drivers to the same destination. He came back to see Xiaoxiu, his girlfriend! His grandmother tells him Xiaoxiu has left.
The village is spreading gossip that Wenzhou is a molester. As the whole Li family goes to eat buns together, they are told to leave by the owner.
Chang Wei talks to local thugs and hears she disappeared, and heard Wenzhou is a molester. The same thugs that beat him up before. He gets shitfaced and later throws a brick through the Li family house and starts a fight with them. Chen Youxi sneaks into their house while they are fighting and she finds posters about their missing daughter, Li Wenwen. Chang Wei is arrested, but then released because the officer is his uncle.
Youxi reaches out to Wei and tells him she is looking for Xiaoxiu as well. Turns out she is not his girlfriend, and he just has a crush on her. Youxi shares the last letter from Xiaoxiu saying the family is weird and has a secret.
Next day, Wei lures Wenzhou to a hidden spot with Youxi to interrogate him, but they lose him. As they search for him, Youxi gets abducted by guy a in a monkey mask who tries to sexually assault her. It might be the culprit from beginning! Wenzhou finds them and fights the monkey guy off. Wei gets Wenzhou arrested for assaulting Youxi. Youxi wakes up in a hospital and is interrogated by the police. They show her a photo of Wenzhou, and she rightfully denies it.
Suifan is grilled by the neighbors again. Everyone wants her to send Wenzhou to a mental hospital.
Youxi wants to get the fuck away from the hospital, but is trapped and questioned by the police. Since she is an escapee orphan, she is not want to share anything. As the police is preparing to report her to a shelter, she goes for the Hail Mary. She announces she is Li Wenwen, the missing daughter of the Li family!
